End of life date announced for legacy versions of MillTools and TestCentral

Vancouver, Washington  – The following letter is published to all Panther customers on 1 December 2021:

Dear valued partners,  

As you are aware, over the past several years Panther has undertaken our largest R&D effort to modernize and update our MillTools and TestCentral suites of applications into the latest technology and code base and into a platform that is both sustainable and expandable for many years to come. This transition has taken a substantial amount of time and resource, but we are pleased to announce that we are nearing the completion of this project.  

We would like to formally announce the end-of-life date for the legacy VB6 TestCentral and MillTools applications as December 31, 2022. These legacy applications will be replaced with the new Panther Portal version of TestCentral and MillTools, which is a .NET web application. Any legacy TestCentral or MillTools applications still in use in your mills after this date will no longer be supported and any potential support issues will need to be resolved by installing the new .NET version.  

Your Technical Account Manager will continue to coordinate with you to establish a plan for testing and implementation of the new suite of applications. These upgraded programs were designed to have the least amount of impact on the end user to help facilitate a smooth transition for your mills. This software upgrade is being provided as part of your continuing service agreement. Standard costs associated with labor will be required to support the installation.
